Set along the endless, sweeping shores of the iconic Ninety Mile Beach, lies the sleepy town of Seaspray.
With the shimmering waters of Lake Reeve over yonder, the town attracts beaching, fishing, boating types. A large grassy reserve stretches along the shoreline and is picnic-perfect with shady areas, toilets and barbecue facilities. The general store can fill your stomach and set you up with fishing gear needs.
Seaspray Beach

Patrolled: During summer holidays.
Hazard Rating: 5/10. Strong currents and winds.
Foreshore: Flat and wide beach with golden sand. Flat foreshore reserve with picnic areas.
Activities: Swimming, surfing, fishing, boarding.
Boat Launching: Boat ramp nearby at Merrimans Creek.
Access: Short 500m walk through sandy dunes from carpark.
The beach in front of the Seaspray Surf Life Saving Club is patrolled during summer months and the shallower waters of the bar make it moderately safe for swimming. There are superb opportunities for beach fishing in the rips.
Head a little further west to Golden Beach with fabulous surf fishing and calmer waters which are ideal for stand up paddle boarding. You can also see what remains of the Trinculo Shipwreck that ran aground in 1858.
MERRIMAN CREEK
The wide and gently flowing Merriman Creek ends its journey at the coast and is a tranquil place to while away an afternoon of fishing or a picnic.
There is a large fishing platform, boat launching and a picnic shelter along the grassy bank.

A beach wheelchair is also available from the Seaspray Surf Life Saving Club throughout January, and on weekends and public holidays.
